Patricia was born and raised in Venezuela. She earned her Bachelor of Laws Degree (LL. B) from Andrés Bello Catholic University (Caracas-Venezuela) with a full scholarship in 2008 and graduated as Cum Laude in her Master of Laws (LL.M) from Georgia State University, College of Law in 2018. She is both an attorney in Venezuela and in the United States where she is a member of the State of New York.
Mrs. Mele works on various areas of immigration law, including Consular Processing, I-601 and I-601A waivers, U-Visas, Response to NOID, NOIR, NOIT, and RFE, I-130, Petition for Relative, and others. She also assists with filing of immigration Court Motions, Prosecutorial Discretion Request, and any subject related to that matter.
Prior to relocating to the United States of America, Patricia pursued a Specialization in Intellectual Property and earned her Degree from Metropolitana University in Caracas where she received a Special Honor for her Thesis in “Compulsory Licenses and Expropriation of Patents in Venezuelan Law.” She acted as General Attorney for the Federal agency equivalent to the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and U.S. Customs agencies in Venezuela, worked for one of the top Law Firms in Caracas- Venezuela, Torres, Plaz & Araujo, and started her own Law Practice. In addition, she was a Professor of Law in Legal English at Andrés Bello Catholic University (Caracas-Venezuela) and she has drafted different articles for law magazines and books. Patricia has a strong background in the areas of Corporate and Intellectual Property Law with several years of successful experience consulting on multifaceted legal projects, drafting, and reviewing contracts, delivering legal support, and providing legal opinions.
She immigrated to the United States in 2014. Recently, Patricia was living in Singapore and worked at the Law Society Pro Bono Service of Singapore where she helped to design and implement a more efficient process for clients to access justice and effectively direct pro bono efforts through digital means. She returned to the United States in 2021 and started to work in Immigration with the Fogle Law Firm. As an immigrant, Patricia understands the daily struggle of our clients and focuses in providing a top service.
She supports the immigrant community in different ways. She has volunteered as a spanish Interpreter for the Good Samaritan Health Center of Gwinnet where she assisted doctors in translations, and she is also a member of the Georgia Hispanic Bar Association. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her family and practice aerial arts and sky dance.
Patricia is Bilingual in English and Spanish with basic knowledge of Portuguese.
